What is your Holiday Return Policy?

Our Holiday Return Policy applies to all purchases made from November 1, 2016, through December 25, 2016. We will gladly accept these items if returned by February 28, 2017.

If you are returning a gift and are not the original purchaser, please be sure to indicate the item you would like in exchange and any changes to the delivery address. You should also indicate if you would prefer to have a Gift Card mailed to you if your exchange is out of stock. Please note, if no replacement item or Gift Card is requested, the return credit will apply to the original form of payment used to make the purchase.

What is UO’s Return Policy?

Return or exchange any unworn, unwashed or defective merchandise by mail or at one of our US or Canada store locations. Returns made within 30 days of the order shipment date will be issued a full refund to the original form of payment. Returns made after 30 days of the order shipment date will be refunded via an emailed e-merchandise credit.

Returning to a store?

Our US and Canadian stores will gladly accept your UrbanOutfitters.com return - visit our store locator to find the store nearest you!

Your return must be accompanied by your packing list. Within 30 days: The original method of payment will be refunded in full.

After 30 days or a Gift Return: A merchandise credit will be issued for the price paid.

Please note: Orders placed on UrbanOutfitters.com cannot be returned at our European store locations.

Use your prepaid (FREE!) SmartLabel?

  • Fill out the Return + Exchange Form on your packing list and pack it with your items in a securely sealed package. Don’t forget to save a copy of your order number for your records – you can find it in in the upper left-hand corner of your packing list.
  • Make sure any old labels on your package are removed or obscured and affix your pre-paid, pre-addressed shipping label.
  • That’s it! Now, just drop your package in the mailbox, give it to your postal carrier, schedule a free carrier pickup, or take it to any authorized USPS facility. There is no postage required.
  • We will email you when your return is processed.

  • Use a trackable and insured shipping method to return your package, with your order number clearly printed on your shipping label. We do not accept COD returns.
  • We will email you when your return is processed.

How long will it take for my return or exchange to process?

Please allow 2-3 weeks from the time you mail your return/exchange for it to be processed. We will email you once it is processed. If you've requested an exchange, we will waive the standard shipping fee on your new order if it is shipping to the US. If you would like to expedite the exchange process, please return your original item and place a new order for the item you want.

How do I track a pre-paid return?

Click here and enter the order number found on the upper left-hand corner of your packing slip. If you no longer have the order number, please contact us for assistance. Allow 2-3 business days from the date you mailed your return for tracking information to become available, and 2-3 weeks for your return to be processed and credited.

I lost my packing list – what do I do?

If you've lost your packing slip and you are the original purchaser, log in to your UO account and click on Order Status. Click on the order you wish to return, print out the Order Summary page and include it with your return. If you are making an exchange, please make note of the new items you wish to receive. If you need a new pre-paid return label or if you are not the original purchaser, please contact us for assistance. Please provide either the order number or the name of the purchaser and shipping address so we are able to locate the original order.

Do you offer price adjustments?

We're happy to issue a one-time price adjustment for an item from our website if it goes on sale within 14 days of your order’s shipment date. A refund for the price difference will be issued back to the original form of payment. If you used a gift card to make your purchase, a new gift card will be issued reflecting the difference. UrbanOutfitters.com is unable to grant price adjustments for purchases made in our retail stores. Please contact your nearest store for more information.

How do I return furniture?

We guarantee the quality of our furniture (free of manufacture defect) for up to one year from purchase. You may return your furniture purchase for a full refund within one year from your purchase date. Made to order, our customizable furniture cannot be cancelled, exchanged or returned. Furniture shipped within the continental US returned within 30 days of delivery will receive a refund of the purchase price on the original form of payment. Furniture returns after 30 days and up to one year will be refunded via a merchandise credit valid for use in any of our US locations or on UrbanOutfitters.com. Unfortunately, we cannot refund shipping charges and taxes will be credited in accordance with state laws. Please note: Furniture returns must be protected during transit so that they arrive back to us in like-new condition. Shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer.

How do I return or exchange my item(s) if my order was shipped to Australia?

Orders shipped to Australia are eligible for in-country returns. Click here to return your order with a customized Australia shipping label and follow the directions listed to the left of the label.

  • Fill out your return form and place it in a securely sealed shipping container. Don’t forget to save a copy of your order number for your records – you can find it in in the upper left-hand corner of your packing list.
  • Make sure any old labels on your package are removed or obscured and affix your pre-paid, pre-addressed shipping label.
  • That’s it! Now, just drop your package in the mailbox or at an Australia Post location. There is no postage required, but a shipping fee of $5.00 USD will be deducted from your refund.
  • We will email you when your return is processed.

Unfortunately, exchanges are not available. Items can only be returned for a refund. If you would like a replacement item, please place another order online.
